Every Project Begins with a Suitable Site

Every solar hybrid power plant begins with the search for a low-shading location. We require a site of at least ten hectares. Together with you, we identify the optimal solution within your municipality. JUWI prepares yield assessments and system concepts, reviews regional plans, and manages lease agreements, zoning procedures, and building permits.

A Solid Foundation Through Expert Planning

Tailored to the specific on-site conditions, we design the solar park and storage system as an integrated solution. Our experts also optimize the project’s economic viability by negotiating framework agreements with component manufacturers and securing favorable financing terms with banks. Once the building permit, grid connection, and – for EEG projects – the award from the Federal Network Agency for remuneration of climate-friendly electricity are in place, construction can proceed without delay.

Turning Vision Into Reality – Solar Hybrid Parks Under Construction

We oversee construction management and coordinate all activities throughout the building phase. Modules, mounting systems, inverters, and the storage system are delivered, assembled, and interconnected. Depending on site conditions, additional infrastructure work, such as road construction, may be required. Once connected to the grid via underground cables, JUWI commissions the plant.

The Right Financing Ensures The Project's Success

Close to the market, our experts work with investors and banks to secure financing for our construction-ready projects. Our investors include regional utilities, industrial and service companies, institutional and private investors, as well as energy cooperatives, citizens, and municipalities.

PV power plant Pike Solar

Record-breaking Project in the USA

In 2023 JUWI realized the largest solar power plant in the company's history. The Pike project in the US state of Colorado has an installed capacity of 223.6 megawatt peak – it produces enough electricity to cover the annual electricity demand of more than 46,000 US households.

Solar farm Gesmold

Direct Energy Supply for an Industrial Company

Since late summer of 2024, the 10-megawatt solar park in Gesmold (Germany), developed by JUWI, has been supplying solar power directly to the plant of SPIES Packaging, a manufacturer of injection-molded plastic packaging. The company covers at least 20 percent of its electricity needs with our PV hybrid project.

Battery Storage Inclusive

In a joint project, JUWI and MVV commissioned a 9.8 megawatt solar park including a 3.6 megawatt battery storage system in Seckach, Baden-Württemberg, in 2023. The hybrid project is an example of a series of renewable energy projects that JUWI has built in combination with storage technologies.
